Two recent tenancies rolled out by greater group have been shortlisted for the 2019 Melbourne Design Awards.

A big congratulations to the teams who worked on the SILK Laser Clinic at Midland Gate and the Aroha Café & Bar at Auckland International Airport, which were respectively nominated in the categories for Retail Interior Design and International Hospitality Interior Design.

    SILK

The SILK Laser Clinic at Midland Gate features a minimal yet inviting design.

The Midland Gate SILK Laser Clinic is one of the retail spaces created by greater group in the national rollout of 18 clinics as commissioned by SILK Laser Clinics. greater group provided end-to-end services in updating, refreshing and re-imagining the current design without reinventing the brand image.

Our designers, Jenny Chang, Polly Glaysher Pagh and Danny Tanoto, designed the completed tenancy to reflect a minimal yet inviting space where clean-cut finishes retain the clinic environment while facilitating a calming atmosphere through the contemporary design. Features like halo illumination in the product displays, behind the reception desk and in the shopfront, combined with lighting perfectly balanced between cold and warm were implemented to create a space that is both professional and comforting.

    Aroha

Aroha Café & Bar at Auckland International Airport subtly blends natural elements with a touch of modernity.

Aroha Café & Bar at Auckland International Airport is the first of three F&B tenancies greater group designed for Emirates Leisure Retail to upgrade the international departure experience at Auckland International Airport.

Designed by Jenny Chang and Polly Glaysher Pagh, the completed space is a beautiful, serene space where passengers can relax while waiting for their flight. The design features a merge of natural and urban elements to answer the project brief of creating a fresh, modern space that is compatible with the airport’s overall theme of land, sea and sky to represent New Zealand’s scenic natural landscapes. A blend of mesh, concrete textures and white penny mosaic tiles juxtaposed with rustic middle earth tiles and a raw Glulam finish complement the key features like the abstract tree arches and portal finish of diagonally routed panelling.

The Melbourne Design Awards celebrate innovative and creating building interiors with consideration given to a range of factors like creation, planning, furnishing and aesthetic presentation.
